Akari, a university student living in Tokyo, returns to her family home in Toyota City for the summer holidays to tell them about the job offer she has received. On top of this she learns that her beloved grandma is suffering from dementia and Akari begins to bitterly regret not returning home more often.

Though it’s not a famous city, there’s beautiful scenery of nature with mountain, river, paddy field and tea plantations. Miharu and Hana are moved by that beauty and they determine to settle down there by first sight. Now their new life starts, but gradually they come to find that living in rural is not only fun thing; there’re specific rules they can’t understand with urban common sense and it makes them shocked. However, they get into the life with people there, attracted deeply by its charm…

This drama series, starring Mone Kamishiraishi, is the adaptation of a comic book about an introverted girl who adores good food. The story is set in an old residential area in downtown Tokyo.
Ayako Yamada, or Bun, is an 18 year-old who just entered university and started living by herself. Actually, she is living together with a rabbit-like talking stuffed animal called Hokusai.
Bun tends to shy away from people and likes to live in her own imagination. She is most interested in cooking, and no matter how short of money and time she is, she always makes the effort to cook and eat well. Her cuisine maintains a good balance of vegetables, proteins, carbohydrates, and is often made as a single dish for convenience.
Bun comes up with unique self-made recipes and cooks good meals with Hokusai. Problems arise in her life, but she is happy as long as she has good food and Hokusai by her side.
