Ren Hitomi is assigned to the HR department of Hinode Pencil, a long-established stationery manufacturer with a brilliant track record. However, rumors begin to spread that a super-elite HR expert, Hitomi, has been headhunted from an overseas company to join the team. Everyone around him has high expectations. This heartful “island” comedy series is set in the Goto Islands, which is said to have the most beautiful sea in Japan. A solitary young calligrapher from the city, who has only relied on calligraphy, grows as a calligrapher as well as a person through the interaction with the people of the islands.
He is often confused by the unique lives and customs of the islands, and gets tangled up in various troubles, but with the islanders’ supports and encouragements, he grows up gradually and breaks new ground in calligraphy.
